3 Mr Girling
Class Teacher: Mr Girling
Teaching Assistant: Mrs Singh.
This term in English, we are going to write stories inspired by Adventure at Sandy Cove - a story about some boys who find a mysterious treasure chest.
In maths we will be learning to use multiplication and division, especially learning the 3x, 4x and 8x times tables. We will also be learning to multiply a 3-digit number by a one digit number.
Our topic this half-term is all about predators - animals that hunt other animals to eat. What is the world's fastest predator, or heaviest, or longest living? We will find out.
PE and Sport
PE lessons are on Monday and Friday afternoons. These are a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities. Pupils also take part in 10 minutes of running on each of the other days in what we call The Daily Mile.
Learning at home
Every Friday the pupils in year 3 will bring home some homework which is related to something they have been learning in school. Pupils should complete the homework and bring it back to school by the following Wednesday at the latest.
Pupils should also be reading at home regularly. We would like pupils to fill in the reading journal as evidence of their home reading.
