Our trip to Shimpling Park Farm
On Tuesday 15th June we visited Shimpling Park Farm
We discussed planting seeds and realised our allotment is much smaller than the farm. We saw the machinery the farm use. Ask us we can tell you what they do.
We felt sheep's wool and discovered it was waterproof. There are 906 ewes on the farm. Some lucky children found four leaf clovers.
In year 4 we had a competition to grow potatoes. We planted them in April and harvested them 16th June. We grew more pototoes and so we are the winners! Well done for looking after them.
Working hard at the allotment. Thank you Laura for all the plants. Can you spot the creatures we found?
Young Leaders Award
We have been working hard to achieve our Young Leaders Certificates. We raised £228 and donated the money to the RSPCA. Thank you so much! They were delighted and the children received stickers and some literature. We have also improved our school grounds by picking up litter and planting a variety of trees and plants.
We learned how to speed stack. We are trying to get quicker all the time!
Making Roman sandals in D.T.
We designed Roman sandals and tried them on. Which is your favourite?
