Leavers' 'Silly SATs', afternoon and Disco! Check out the link to the church service after the pictures.

Character Creations Competition - Well done to all of those in Year 6 who entered the Character Creations Competition, designing and writing about their villains! Check them out using the link in the attached document.

World War 2 - We are learning about WW2. Read some of our newspaper reports where the children illustrate their understanding about the outbreak of war. We will be learning about the impact of war in Ipswich. If you have anything to contribute, from artifacts to stories, we would be very grateful.

Science Week - The children persevered this week investigating a variety of experiments on how to make the strongest bridge, the strongest glue and finding the best materials for a fingerprint investigation. As well as the this, the children have learned about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and the role of women in the this field, from Marie Curie to Katherine Johnson. We celebrated these fantastic women in International Women's Week by using our skills in abstract art to produce some fabulous portraits. And to top it all off, we had the pleasure of a video message from Rachel Lynch Policy Delivery Lead – COVID-19 Vaccines Deployment who answered some of our questions regarding women in STEM and of course some all important questions about Covid.

Google Classroom Manual - All lessons and links to websites have been set up in Google Classroom.  If you have forgotten your login details please either contact me by email or the school directly.
Step by step user manuals for Google Classroom (and Meet) for a variety of devices can be downloaded from this page (click to view).

Hi all,

Hope you are all well and keeping busy.  Please note that I can only respond to you once I have received an email from you to the email address sent out with your learning packs.  I can not respond to your email account from school.  Please send me an email even if it is to say hello!!  Have a good weekend!

Please note, that I will be in school Monday 23rd with the key-worker children, therefore may not be able to answer emails straight away.

Please find attached your Home Learning Timetable. As you will be aware, the SATs, which your children would have sat have been cancelled, however it is vital that the children continue with their learning in order to be ready for High School in September. If you could support your children in managing their learning time and thank you for your support.

The Orwell Bridge Art Project - The children have been learning how to focus on detail, using view finders to select elements in designs to draw.

The children had a great experience of Victorian life at Christchurch mansion: making butter, learning deportment, understanding how laundry was done and investigated similarities and differences between then and now.

Victorian Day - As part of our history, we will be learning about the Industrial Revolution and its impact on Britain and the rest of the world. Here are a few pictures where we learnt what life was like for a Victorian school child.
