Week beginning 15-5-23 is science week! We are learning all about plants. Your child will be asked to name and label the different parts of plants. They will also learn what plants need to survive ie water but what else? What are the different stages of a plants life from germination as a seed onwards? Perhaps if you go for a walk over the weekend you can spot different plants and talk about them.
Week beginning 26-9-22 we are learning all about materials: wood, glass, metal and plastic. We are asking the children to name the material objects are made from. What are the properties of each material? Are they hard or soft, stiff or bendy etc? What material is best for certain jobs? For example would it be a good idea to have a wooden book? Perhaps you could show your child different objects and ask them what they are made from.
