Talk for Writing

At Morland we use the scheme Talk for Writing an approach developed to support the attainment of English, incorporating high quality texts to produce imaginative story telling and produce high quality writing. In reception we do this by story mapping, small world, role play and access to a variety of resources to support the children's imaginations. 

Your children will learn the stories together as a class. We read the story over several weeks and break it down in to small sections. We put actions to the words to support the children with internalising and being able to re-tell the story.
