Who we are
‘Through God all things are possible’ (Matthew 19:26)
Morland is a vibrant primary school located in the heart of our community, and we're embarking on an exciting new chapter that will help us live our Biblical vision. We're thrilled to be opening a specialist SEND unit within our existing building and we're looking for passionate educators to help us create an environment where our children can truly thrive.
Building strong relationships with our children is at the heart of everything we do. The specialist unit will benefit from small pupil numbers and a high staff-to-child ratio, we offer a nurturing and supportive space that enables our children to grow. Our new team will be made up of highly skilled and dedicated professionals who will collaborate with parents, multi-agency teams, and key workers to support our children in a holistic way.
Together, we’ll work with children who face a wide range of challenges, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
We believe in a developmental and sequential approach to teaching, one that builds on prior learning and sets high expectations for progress. At Morland, we understand that our children come from diverse backgrounds, and many of them have unique Communication and Interaction needs, but one thing is certain – every child deserves to have the opportunity to shine.
We take a triangulated approach that places the child at the centre of decision-making. By working closely with education and therapy professionals, parents, carers, and the local authority, we ensure that every child’s voice is heard, and that we all work together to secure outstanding outcomes.
The role
At Morland, we believe that a school is about more than just teaching subjects – it’s about knowing and caring for the children you work with. Building positive, nurturing, and professional relationships with our children is key to success in this role.
As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will work alongside the class teacher to play a crucial part in motivating and inspiring our children to reach their full potential alongside your supportive team.
We’re looking for someone special – a HLTA who can, work with the class teacher to manage complex and sometimes challenging behaviours with care, understanding and patience. You will need to be adaptable, with the right communication skills, consistency, and flexibility to meet the needs of each child in your care. Above all, we’re looking for someone who approaches every child with a non-judgemental mindset and is passionate about making a difference.
Are you ready to join a team that is all about collaboration, innovation, and creating meaningful change for our children? If so, we can’t wait to meet you!
