How will the curriculum meet my child’s needs?

➢ All teachers are teachers of SEND. All class teachers will adapt their teaching to the individual needs of all learners.

➢ Teachers or Teaching Assistants may work with children in a small focus group or 1:1 to target particular needs.

➢ Your child will be provided with a One Page Profile which provides an overview of their needs and will suggest ways to support them. Parents, children and staff will collaborate to create the document.  It is a working document so will be updated when appropriate. Some children also require a Support Plan which will document short term targets focussed upon their specific areas of need.  Profiles and Support Plans will be discussed in termly meetings with  parents.

➢ Specialist equipment may be given to pupils if recommended.
