Keeping children safe ONLINE
Safer Internet Day 2023 - Resources
Online Safety
To children and parents alike; the internet is both a great benefit and a hazard. It's sadly all too easy for a child seemingly safe at home to be unwittingly endangering themselves.
So what can we do to help?
Well, the easiest suggestion (and possibly the hardest to implement) is to control their access.
If they're only using it when we're watching; that's really half the battle.
Not always feasible, of course - especially with the plethora of connected devices that they may have access to.
This is why I'd like to draw your attention to a superb website, the UK Safer Internet Centre, that has regularly updated and genuinely useful advice for both parents and children.
Want to know how to set parental controls on Netflix? Need to block someone on TikTok? This is the place. (links below)
