Mr Girling's Class - Years 3 and 4

Welcome

Mr Giring's class is a mixed group of pupils from years 3 and 4. Our teaching assistants are Mrs Booth and Mrs Canham.

Curriculum

In the Spring term we will be covering a lot of different subjects. In English, we will be looking at persuasive writing and learning about word classes. In maths, we will be learning about units of measure such as kilometres, kilograms and litres. We will also be learning to add and subtract fractions, and convert from mixed numbers into improper fractions.

This term, in geography, we will be studying volcanos and what is happening under the earth. In history, we will be learning about Roman Britain. In science, our class will be studying electricity and how we can make a circuit. 

PE

This term our class will have PE every Tuesday with Mr Ablett, and every Thursday indoors with Mr Girling.

Pupils should wear:

- White t-shirt

- Black or Navy Blue Shorts, Jogging bottoms, or a Skort.

- School Uniform jumper or cardigan (not a hoody)

- Sports shoes.

For indoor PE (in the hall) pupils should have either bare feet or shoes that they only wear indoors. This is so we don't get a muddy floor which can then be slippery and unsafe.

Religious Education

This term, pupils will be learning about Hinduism. Our theme is: How does Dharma relate to duty in the Hindu religion? Also, we will be learning about Diwali.
