RE
In RE we learnt the story of Rama and Sita - a story of love, courage and good overcoming evil. Sita was kidnapped by Ravana and her husband Rama was so upset, he bravely fought Ravana to rescue his wife Sita. Everyone was so happy to see Rama and Sita return home that they lit lamps everywhere to celebrate. This is why Hindus celebrate Diwali, the 'Festival of Lights', to remember this. We made our own lanterns to remind us of this.
