Welcome

Our class is called Kestrels and our teacher is Mr Girling. Our teaching assistants are Mrs Singh and Mrs Vukovic.

 

This term our topics are Brazil (geography) and The Normans (history). In maths, pupils will be learning to calculate the area and perimeter of rectanguA daffodil that has been cut, showing the stigma and anthers.lar shapes. Also, they will be learning about volume and capacity.

In writing, we will be learning to write non-fiction texts such as persuasive writing and information texts. We will continue learning the words from the year 5 spelling list. This term we will be reading The Spiderwick Chronicles.

In science, pupils will be learning about reproduction in plants, amphibians and birds.

 

In RE, the children will be learning about the importance of the eucharist to Christians around the world.

P.E.A tennis ball.

This term our P.E. lessons will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Pupils should come to school wearing their P.E. kit on both of those days. As the weather becomes warmer, they should also bring a sun hat to wear during lessons and a bottle of water.

Note: when pupils have a sports club on a different day, for example football club on Friday, they should come to school in their normal uniform and get changed after the school day ends.
